CAREER WOMEN. DO THEY EXPERIENCE THE SAME OPPORTUNITY & RIGHTS AS MEN?

We often hear women demanding for gender equality at the workplace. We often hear too, our society criticising and questioning the same issue. To some, the demand made by women seems irrelevant or irrational. Perhaps, they do not experience the hurdles and obstacles of being a career woman. On the bright side, women had achieved huge milestones through various women’s rights movements, to improve the experience of female workers. However, is the experience of female workers today satisfactory? Do they not deserve the same experience, opportunity and rights as men in their workplace? Is gender equality at the workplace still far out of reach from us even after decades of movements?
